Hello viewers,
Thank you for continuing to show interest in my profile. I completed my bachelors of Humanities with honours at York University. I just recently obtained my Masters in Education with a specialization in psychology. I am currently working as an instructor therapist, applying intense behaviour interventions to children who have been diagnosed with autism. I chose to become an instructor therapist/teacher to make a difference in many individuals lives and allow them to recognize their fullest potential. In essence, I have chosen a life of helping others. What`s in it for me? A life of great fun, stimulating conversations and celebrating the success of all my students.

Availability: Monday-Friday after 4:00pm. Times can be negotiated to fit each persons availability!

Experience: I have 6 years experience in the tutoring realm. Although I do not have specific steps I follow, as individuals have different learning styles, I approach tutoring utilizing some of the techniques I list below:
#1) I am to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the tutee
#2) An initial meeting (optional). This establishes the student`s needs and learning style. We can then begin to work on programmes of study, which has a foci of addressing any areas of weakness
#3) Depending on the age group, I typically set homework and writing assignment to be completed for the following week. The quantity varies depending on time and workload. What does this do for the student? I am a strong believer in "practice makes perfect".
#4) Being enthusiastic and creating an engaging and successful learning environment. I believe personality is the key to success. Enthusiasm impacted my teaching and learning as it carried with it motivation and teacher-student relationships.
