I am a retired secondary and post-secondary teacher from North Vancouver. I have taught English 8-11, Career Programs, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, leadership and Planning 10.

I have published 10 books, have developed a number of methodologies for students to study better, enjoy learning, and find the relevance in their studies and subjects. I have had great success with many students who just need to connect their studies with the relevance in learning.

I prefer students who need to learn how to have fun learning and want to get better grades. Some of my students who have seen great improvement also have ADD. Although I enjoy all ages, my preference would be those who are 14-22 years of age. Grades 8 and 9 would be suitable if there was a good match.

Availability: After school 4-6 p.m and 7-8 p.m.
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Some Saturdays.

I can take on 3-4 students a week.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: 17 years teaching high school courses, department head, and District coordinator of all career programs.

Subject areas include Planning 10, Business subjects (Entrepreneurship, Marketing), English, Social studies. I have substituted (TOC) in most subject areas but am not current in Math, or sciences.

Learning how to study, get better grades, create higher marks through better studying and learning techniques are some of the areas I`ve help students with. I help them with time management, routines, and getting organized. I`ve helped most of my student clients achieve at least a two letter grade jump in their overall marks. (e.g. 45% before, and 78% after my help within four weeks).

I am a certified life coach and have helped a number of students overcome limiting behaviors (fear, frustration, trust, hate, etc.).
