Experience: My most recent work as an English Language instructor in South Korea enhanced my experience developing and delivering educational programs. As an English Teacher I conducted lessons, prepared and delivered tests, graded assignments and wrote progress reports. I also effectively adapted to a new cultural environment and communicated with a diverse audience. During a summer abroad in Cape Coast Ghana, I volunteered with a Youth Development organization, Abusua, which specializes in delivering educational programs to children living in the Cape Coast Community. I participated in organizing and facilitating youth workshops and events, helped facilitate the development of Abusua’s Youth newspaper. Working as a student mentor with the University of Ottawa, I assisted students with learning exceptions and students who required academic support. This position allowed me to increase my skills and sensitivity in dealing with youth with special needs.
