I absolutely love teaching French and love creating engaging activities for them to learn with! I have an excellent level of written, grammar, oral and reading comprehension teaching skills. I began my teaching career as a tutor, where I really learned to guide students to discover what block was preventing them from moving forward in their learning. Once the mental learning block was recognized, and corrected, the student was always able to learn freely. Everyone can learn a language! We all speak at least one!

I have taught grades 8-12 for many years, preparing them for their Provincial exam (BC, Canada), the Leaving Certificate (Ireland) and the DELF (France). Their success in these exams always speaks for itself! It is so much fun and wonderful to watch students understand the connections between various elements of the language! I am also very comfortable working with younger students and have worked as a Learning Support Teacher at Elementary level (K-7) helping students overcome their French language challenges. I truly believe that everyone can learn a second language and that, if it is explained properly, one can easily overcome any blocks they have developed, understand and learn to master it!

Experience: Provincial French Specialist with 10 years experience teaching French Immersion and Core French in Canada and 7 years teaching French in Ireland, France and Belgium.

Levels taught: k-12, Masters Level, corporate classes.

Lived in France for 5 years working in a Lycée and also in a well known fashion house in Sales and Marketing. Continued working with the company while returning to Ireland and beginning a teaching career, there.
