I hold a Master of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science from Western University.
For my Master`s research I was awarded the J.A. Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship - Master`s level for outstanding undergraduate work and research potential. I also received the Margaret Campbell Docherty Award for the highest standing in a political science graduate program upon completion of my degree. Through my Bachelor`s, I was consistently on the Honour Roll and graduated with distinction.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading about Canadian and Ontario politics, trying out new recipes, and walking with my dog.

Experience: I have four years of experience teaching and tutoring students in both classroom and one-on-one settings at post-secondary institutions.
I have three years of experience working in university writing centres, where I worked one-on-one with students to give them feedback on their written work and instruction on the core aspects of academic writing including thesis statement and argument, overall structure, idea development, and grammar.
I also have one year of experience teaching course materials in a tutorial setting for an introductory political science course, where I also marked and provided feedback to students on their coursework and exams.
I have a strong knowledge of various writing styles and assignment types from across disciplines, and a thorough understanding of the proper application of the common citation guidelines (Chicago, APA, MLA).
I am comfortable working with students in arts and social sciences subjects including, English, Writer`s Craft, Politics/ Civics, Social Studies, History, Geography, Family Studies, and English language learners.
