I recently graduated from Dalhousie University, where I obtained my Master`s degree in Social Anthropology. I also have a combined honours degree in International Development Studies and Environmental Sustainability. I worked as both a Teaching Assistant and a Writing Tutor during my time in graduate school, and loved working one-on-one with students in a collaborative educational setting.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have several years of direct experience mentoring and facilitating creative educational programming for young people. I am passionate about working with youth and helping them to build their confidence though better writing and study skills. I want to build a personal relationship with each student and get to know their unique strengths and challenges.

I believe that everyone can write well, and that with proper guidance and motivation I can help students to develop pride in their written work.

Availability: Flexible availability: 10-20 hours per week.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I possess 6+ years of academic writing experience, as well as two years of teaching assistant experience in the department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie University. I have previously worked as a Writing Instructor at the Dalhousie Writing Centre, where I mentored students of all disciplines seeking feedback on their writing. I have also worked one on one with a Canadian Newcomer on developing her writing skills for a college-level program.
